Bruges is a beautiful place steeped in history, wonderful architecture and the smell of waffles everywhere. It is well worth booking a walking tour, it is good value for money. Hopefully you get a good guide, as our tour kept over lapping with other tours. The canal trip on an open boat was the crown. Bruges is small enough to see most things, large enough to have loads of choice of activities, food and bars.

Bruges is a lovely place, small enough to get to know with walking. The shopping is exceptional with many interesting shops selling unusual items and the food is exceptional. The chocolate shops are also very special.

We have been to Bruges a number of times and always find something new to see. There are plenty of bars serving an excellent selection of good beers and wines and there is a variety of good restaurants.
It is easy to get to by road or rail and is a good centre for cycling.

Lovely medieval city with loads of history.
Lovely medieval city with loads of history. If you like walking along narrow cobble stones streets, beautiful medieval buildings, canal walls, museums and Belgium chocolates, waffles and the variety of many delicious Belgium beers, its the place for you. Easy to walk around and navigate. The people are very friendly and helpful. It felt very safe too. Ideal for a city break. One suggestion if you do not want to be ripped off for the price of a beer and food is avoid the Market Square for eating and drinking. Over priced and low quality compared to the many other places minutes away down the side streets. We paid 11.50 euro for a 50cl beer and soon realized this was not the average price. Others nearby were charging anything from 6.50 euro to 7 euro on average and the food and service was better. I would also recommend the Legends of Bruges walking tour. Very informative and a great way to get to know the city.

The hotel is located in the city centre, a few minutes walk from all the attractions Bruges has to offer. Our room was freshly re-decorated which is certainly a plus, but it becomes a problem when the smell of the paint is still very strong and there is no aeration possible. Also the lights in the room didn't work (except for in the bathroom), which wasn't necessarily a problem since the days are long in May, but still not what you expect for the price paid. Staff was very concerned and tried to solve the issue but with no success
The property communicated with us right away once it was booked and gave lots of helpful information. They even let us know that early check in might be available so we arrived early and were able to check in a couple of hours early which allowed us more time to explore the beautiful city of Bruges since we were only staying one night. The staff was amazing, the hotel beautiful and located in walking distance from the train station and the city center. The room was beautiful, clean, beds comfortable, and lovely bathroom.
The rooms were decorated impeccably and the hotel bar had a great selection of drinks with a gorgeous Art Deco sitting room.
The staff were friendly and attentive. They provided some great advice on how to get the most from our time in Bruges.
The location of the hotel is superb. Right next everything in the city centre while being just enough off of the main roads that it provides a tranquil space to pause before heading back out.
The elegant Christmas decorations were the icing on top.
We will be coming back here again. This is a nice hotel, reasonably priced. It's big advantage is its location. It is in the middle of town, near virtually everything. This is important as Bruges is a town you walk in. There are buses, but not like in London, for example.
The breakfast was very nice. Same thing every day, as is so with less expensive hotels, but a wide variety. The view outside is spectacular, as we are right on the canal.
We had an amazing stay at B&B Huis ´T Schaep! Our room was lovely and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The B&B as a whole is also very beautiful. The breakfast was amazing - easily one of the best breakfasts we've had in any hotel. We were so appreciative of the warm welcome we received and the owners were so kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone travelling to beautiful Bruges.
We absolutely loved staying in Grand Hotel Casselbergh. It really felt like an exclusive 5-star resort but with affordable prices. Everything from the decor, food, staff and service was incredible. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel and all the staff working were fantastic. Our advice to other travellers would be to skip Brussels and come straight to Bruges and stay here. We will be back the next time we visit Bruges!
A lovely hotel in a quiet setting, with a secluded garden and secure parking on site for a daily charge. It is also within a few minutes walk of the city centre. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, with everything you could wish for. The room we had was very spacious, with a really comfortable bed made up with high quality bedding. Would definitely stay there again, if in Bruges.
The hotel is in an idyllic location on the canal away from the noise and crowd. It's a short way away from the sights of Bruges. The breakfast was brilliant with different fresh bread and fruits, meats and cheeses and a boiled egg if you so desire. The city of Bruges is a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyway wanting to have a short getaway. This hotel was a wonderful part of the experience
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location and quite area at night, very close to the bus stop, well connected with the city centre and the station, small walking distance to the city centre.
Hotel was clean and bed was very comfortable, warm bedroom, breakfast was excellent but small choice.
Very nice hotel, we will book again if we will come back to Bruges.
Location is excellent. The hotel is situated 10 minutes from the city centre. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave us the detailed information about the city and the must-see places. The breakfast was also very good with an awesome coffee.
Nice Hotel, at the Best location, 10 minutes by foot to the city center. Also very close to the train station, that is why it makes it the best Hotel to stay in, considering the price too. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All recommendations for this Hotel.
This was a great location and the best boutique hotel I have stayed at so far. The location was great everything was walkable.
Breakfast was great every morning! Had a great time staying in Bruges. Totally recommend it.
When i arrived i wanted to rate 5 stars to the hotel. The réceptionist that welcomed us was very professional and gental even she let us check in at 10 Am. for a 1 star hotel the room is verry organized and looks like new
10-15 minutes walk to the city centre, cheap parking nearby (much cheaper than others in Brugge and it's just below the hotel). I can recommend it easily. It is good for couples or small groups of friends for 1-2 nights.
Absolutely beautiful hotel, impeccably decorated. The staff were great, and the hotel is located so close to the city centre whilst still being quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bruges.
Hotel is brilliantly situated in historic centre of Bruges. Breakfast well organised and we had a great view of the Burg Square. Room was a good size and quiet.
Hotel is close to City centre yet quite peaceful .
Best thing is in night you are owner of Bar and they trust you to write down things which you consumed.
